Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him) said:

“Whoever recites the Quran while being a young believer, the Quran mingles with his flesh and blood, and Allah (Mighty and Exalted) places him among the noble, righteous scribes (angels). And the Quran will act as a shield for him on the Day of Judgment.”
