Grand Ayatollah Sayed Mohammed Mehdi Dastgheib has died at dawn on Thursday at the age of 90 years in the holy city of Najaf. Ayatollah had a sudden death due to heart attack. He was laid to rest in Shiraz after his funeral by his followers across Iran. He was great Shia scholar. Ayatollah Dastgheib was born in 1924 in Shiraz.
